The first Faculty Workshop in Autumn Semester 2019 invited Professor Chen Guangzhong as the speaker addressing the topic “Improvement of Death Penalty Review Procedures”. Professor Chen delivered the speech through five points, including the policy of death penalty, the nature of the death penalty review procedure, defense issues in death penalty review procedures, standard of proof in death penalty cases and the reform of the death penalty review procedure.

After the speech, Professor Li Bensen and Gu Yongzhong gave their opinions on the subjects separately.
