The Institution benefits from the achievements of the procedural law researches of the University. In the areas of academic research, exchanges, education, etc. 1. Procedural law in China was designated as LL.M course in 1979 and LL.D course in 1986. 2. The Institution has produced a large quantity of high quality research products. Since 1996, the Institution’s full-time and part-time professionals have written and published more than 100 academic books and 400 papers, submitted 5 consulting reports, and received more than 20 rewards for research projects. The quantity and quality are at the advanced stage of procedural law researches. 3. The Institution has made significant contributions to national legislation. The Institution’s professors and experts have taken part in making and modifying more than 20 laws, e. g. Criminal Procedural Law, Civil Procedural Law, Administrative Procedural Law, Law on Legislation, Law on Administrative Punishments, Law on Administrative Judicial Review, Law on State Compensation, Law on Bankruptcy, Arbitration Law, Notary Public Law, Marine Procedural Law, etc. Among them, the successful modification of China’s Criminal Procedural Law, which has attracted worldwide attention, was achieved with our experts’ active involvement and distinguished contributions. 4. The Institution has provided high quality education to many students. The Institution’s professors and experts have taught more than 50 LL.D students and over 300 LL.M students who, after graduation, are working as leading professionals or leaders in various law enforcement departments and academic research institutes. 5. The Institution has conducted wide academic exchanges. It has held national procedural law seminars many times. With joint projects, the Institution has established wide cooperative connections with various government departments. Since 1996, the Institution’s full-time and part-time professionals have been invited more than one hundred times to give lectures or to attend academic meetings abroad. The Institution has now established academic exchanging connections with counterparts of more than 20 countries, such as the United Kingdom, France, Canada, Germany and Japan. It has conducted regular academic exchanging programs with 5 countries.
